He participated the scouting in the open country when he was a child. He used to work as the President of an international high-tech company. So far, he has disburdened his position, and picked up his brush again. He traveled the world-wide, and has planed his five-year-plan of Gladness in Painting. His first topic "the serial of oil painting about the rapeseeds flowers around the world" had been finished, and the first book about the paintings and travel notes had been published. You can enjoy these paintings in the "Works Corridor". Gladness in Painting Gladness Master – Daniel Chieh Hope and disappointment coexist in the land of living. After experiencing hardships and flourish, now I’m full of gladness and thankfulness. In an era governed by change and speed, permanence seems like a myth in a fantasyland. To make the dream come true I have painted something transient and in doing so given it in some way a permanent form, and this is the blessing to me from the God. Thanks for the life’s trials, hope conquers disappointment, joy overtimes hardships. I’m full of ideas, a man walking in dream. It’s good to have a dream, and to make the dream come true, right? I have always believed in “DO THE RIGHT THING RIGHT, AT THE RIGHT TIME.” This year, I finished my first book “Yellow Magic-A Journey of Rapeseed Flowers” at last. I would like to share my experience of my painting and my trip in over ten countries. Confucius said that curiousness is close to knowledge, practice is close to humanity. I will always be curious and keep on practicing. I plan to accomplish the following series of challenges, and I hope that some enthusiastic friends might join me in my travels. What is success? When I’m young, I always think that success is being rich, owning a large house, having a stable job and so on. However, after experiencing hardships, now I have begun to realize that success is a kind of proficiency, a kind of capacity to grasp the good in the ordinary things of life, the imperceptible, and the capacity to feel appreciation. In order to share my information on trip, I made notes in plain words. In these notes I hope to have recorded some love, friendship, descriptions of beautiful scene, and an enlightened frame of mind. I hope that my paintings can move you to forget disappointment and hardship, and that something of these painted scenes will remain in your mind, thus giving them some permanence. You are welcome!
